About

Living with ADHD can be extremely difficult. I went through a lot of suffering and struggles throughout most of my life as a direct result of ADHD. Unlike other disabilities, such as someone in a wheelchair with a severe injury, a person who has ADHD likely shows no outward appearance of having a disability since we can’t look into someone’s brain without advanced medical technology. So, many people might think that someone with ADHD is either lazy, crazy, strange, or all of the above. I personally didn’t have much social self-awareness until one of my best friends pointed out a lot of the awkward social things I did. And, while I did take medication for years, there are many things I know now that I wish I had known earlier, so that I could have avoided a lot of unnecessary struggles. Now I want to share these tips with others with ADHD.

What This Site Is About

The goal of this site is to give people with ADHD practical ways to live better lives. While no one chooses to have ADHD, the symptoms can be mitigated through conscious effort by learning and practicing various skills such as patience, attention, and social skills. Many with ADHD are simply misunderstood, and this site aims to also educate non-ADHD people about ADHD, to increase public awareness and empathy for ADHD. From my experience of having lived with ADHD my whole life, I can give a first-hand account of what having ADHD is like, things to avoid, etc. While there are millions of people around the world with ADHD, many have found ways to cope, or even thrive in their lives living with ADHD. In addition to practical tips on improving one’s life with ADHD, this site also aims to illuminate much of the latest research on ADHD or ADHD-like symptoms for how to improve oneself. This site also will discuss meditation and mindfulness, and how those can be extremely helpful in dealing with ADHD.

Positive Aspects Of ADHD

While people with ADHD can get distracted easily and be impulsive, those with ADHD have the ability to hyper-focus on things that REALLY interest them. In addition, often people with ADHD are highly intelligent and/or creative.
